Luxury vacation living in the wine country of Southern France |

Le Petit Charme (LPC) is designed to meet the needs of travelers
who enjoy a private, upscale residential rental that provides:
|
|
|
Stylish, elegant & luxurious accommodations
As the LPC website illustrates, the cottage truly is stylish, elegant
and luxurious, providing guests with the charm of yesterday and
the comforts of today.
Unfortunately, many visitors to rural Languedoc are unaware that
a majority of rental properties are not designed to meet British
and American standards. Consequently, guests can be disappointed
in a dwelling’s lack of comfort, style and amenities.
|
Private, romantic getaway
LPC, a private residence set among the vineyards, is the perfect
romantic getaway for honeymooners and lovers. It’s particularly
enchanting on a stormy evening, with the wooden shutters closed
tight, rain tapping on the tile roof, and the glow of soft
lights and candles illuminating the interior warmed by a homey
wood-burning stove. Guests truly feel secure and ensconced
in a world of their own.
|
Many amenities
LPC offers many amenities, some of which are not even offered by
luxury hotels in the area: Click here for amenities.
|
|
|
Excellent value
Modestly-furnished rooms at local Bed and Breakfast establishments
and three-star hotels cost, on average, 70 and 120 euros a
night, respectively. Of course, luxury hotels in Narbonne
and Carcassone are priced upward of 225 euros a night, making
LPC an excellent value for its convenient and beautiful location,
stylish décor and many amenities.
|
Open, light & airy space
LPC isn’t a typical ‘maison de village’ (village
house) – a narrow, dark or three-story dwelling sandwiched
between two other buildings. It’s a one-story cottage with
a well-designed floor plan and exposure that ensures guests enjoy
a light and airy space, even in the worst of weather. The front
of cottage and the courtyard is oriented southwest, providing good
light in the late morning and afternoon hours. At night, excellent
lighting design and a selection of candles adorn every room, adding
a soft ambience and touch of romance.
|
Outdoor living space
LPC has both an interior courtyard and exterior garden from which
guests can enjoy the glorious light of Southern France. The courtyard,
designed to be an extension of the interior living space, features
a comfortable dining area set among a variety of plants and herbs
and a bubbling fountain. The garden offers an informal place from
to kick back, relax and enjoy being among the vines adjacent to
the cottage..

Convenient location
Argens-Minervois, located between the Meditteranean and the Black
Mountains, is about 20 kilometers from Narbonne and 40 kilometers
from Carcassone in the Minervois wine growing valley. The
village is a 20-minutes drive from two major autoroutes, A9
and A61 which provide direct access to Toulouse (1hr. 15 mins.),
Montpellier (1hr. 15 mins.), Perpignan and Collioure (1.5
hrs.), and Barcelona (3 hrs.).
A five-minute drive from Argens-Minervois takes guests to the towns
of Olonzac and Lezignan-Corbieres. There they can experience real
‘day-to-day’ living among the French at a variety of
bistros, restaurants, markets, specialty food stores (boulangeries,
patisseries, poisonnieres, etc), supermarkets, shops and service
providers.
Besides enjoying the land, LPC
guests also can enjoy the sea. The long sandy beaches, marshlands
and rocky outcrops of Meditteranean Coast near Narbonne and
Gruissan are a 30-minutes drive from the cottage.
